Great Stone Face Books!

We currently have 16 of the 25 GSF books for this year, and the rest are on the way!
What?  Students in grades 4-6 are invited to read from this list and to vote  in the spring on their favorite.  The author whose book receives the most votes receives a hand-cut crystal trophy designed by master craftsman, Pepi Hermann of Gilford, NH.

Who can vote?  Students from grades 4-6 who have read a minimum of five books on the list are eligible for voting.

You will find information brochures in the library!  These brochures provide a short advertisement for each book, as well as a rating spot for each book (1= likes a little, 5=likes a lot).

Voting Ballots will be placed out in the library in the spring.

Of Book Orders, Borrowed Books, and Ice Cream Scoops

I am busily preparing to order lots of excellent books for everyone!  Thank you for input on what to order to make our library the best ever!

Please continue to look at home for all library books needing to be returned to the school.  Before you know it, the end of the year will be here!

I am also trying hard to catch up on the amazing number of ice cream scoops I need to cut out and post up on the WALL for all the books everyone is reading!  It is a dazzling sight to see the visual representation of how much reading we are doing!  In the beginning I wondered if students and staff would think I was crazy to propose the challenge of reading 100 Books; but now, well it's obvious -- we read, and we read a lot!  How exciting! I'm starting to think about that ice cream party in June!

Fall in Love @ the Library!

This Valentine's Day, don't forget to stop in at the library for stories of love, friendship, and romance!  Fall in Love with books and read to a sibling, a grandparent, a friend.  Read passages aloud over the phone, at the dinner table, in the car!

New to the library:  a stack of  34 Goosebumps books!
